Letter O With a Crown and Pixie Dust for Our Storynce upon a time . . .   In a little city called, Irvine, CA,, two moms, Cristina and Gina, were fated to meet on a sunny afternoon at their kids’ after-school sports class. Their friendship quickly blossomed over both being transplants from Northern California, their kids’ love of sports, and most importantly, how Disney was at the heart of their families. Over the following months, their friendship grew out of carpooling, coffee dates, and bonding how their time at Disneyland made them and their families what they are today. Together, they shared and exchanged Disney traditions, tips, and happy memories of a place they like to call, their home away from home. They decided right then and there that it was time to share with others the magic of Disneyland in their everyday lives.

Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of working for the Walt Disney Company. I grew up in the small town of Morgan Hill, CA, spending time between my mother’s families egg ranch and my father’s family winery, where I learned the importance of family and hard work.  My grandpa loved Mickey Mouse as much as I did and we truly enjoyed going to Disneyland together.

While in college I started my Disney Career at the Disney Store in Santa Clara, CA, then transitioned to the Walt Disney World College program followed by Disneyland College program.  I earned my degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University. Upon graduation, I accepted a position at the Disneyland Hotel front desk and later was accepted into the Disney Leadership Management Program. I went on to hold management positions in the Hotels, Main Entrance, Guest Relations, Attractions, and Special Events where I was the opening manager of the Haunted Mansion Holiday and FastPass throughout the Resort then was promoted to Area Manager for Paradise Pier Attractions. After two years, I transferred to be a Manager with Special Event Operations where I had the amazing opportunity to work on the Movie Premieres of Pirates of the Caribbean and Miley Cyrus’s 16th Birthday party as well as numerous Attraction Grand Openings.

Disneyland has always played a big part in our family.  I went to college with, Gary Maggetti, who is currently the General Manager, Disney California Adventure Park West and is also the person who introduced me to my husband, my Prince Charming, Christopher Maggetti, an Executive Chef of Disneyland West & North. Chris even proposed to me at Disneyland, with Gary helping coordinate the event.  It was an absolutely magical experience! I am a devoted mother and wife, to a busy household of two children, one dog ,Guido, and a bird named, Happy, after the Seven Dwarfs. Since my days at Disney, I have spent my time as a Social Media Design and Production specialist along with now becoming a blogger.

Disney has been at the heart of my family from the moment my husband Jose, then boyfriend, surprised me with a trip to the, Happiest place on Earth, for our first Valentine’s day together. Marriage, two dogs, and three lovely boys later, the Disneyland Resort became our “go to place” whenever our family needed to feel grounded and spend some quality time together. Originally from San Francisco, Bay Area and the Philippines, we have had to move and travel often for family, higher education, and jobs. The Parks became our special place where all of our family traditions were formed and they continue to grow and form till today. It is truly our home away from home.

To me, Disneyland is an inspiring place to visit and has always fueled my creativity which has helped me in my career. I started in Cosmetology and directly went into the fashion industry, working with designers, photographers, and beauty industry corporations. Eventually, I went back to school for design, specializing in graphic and web design. I started my own consulting business as a Marketing and Branding Specialist, helping corporations, foundations, universities, and small businesses achieve success by making their mark in their industry. I enjoy strategizing, organizing, creating original designs (as seen on this website), building websites (like this one), and most importantly, the process’s creative writing and messaging aspect. This venture is the perfect blend of everything I love and love to do, professionally and personally, and I am honored Cristina has allowed me to help make her dream come true.
